After 25 years of working with clocks and fixing watches, Stan began to develop a technology he called the "Inner Clock" that supposedly would allow him to know what time it was all the time. During his final test, a power malfunction caused him to recieve to much of the "Inner CLock" meaning he had more control over time than he had wished. He gained full control over time, able to fast forward, or rewind. After a brief period as a superhero, all the time manipulation began to play with Stan's DNA, he was left scarred, both physically, and mentally. He was desparate for a cure, and began stealing money from shops and banks to get it, the more he used his power for theft, the more evil and Scarred he became, until all his focus was on using his powers to scar the world as he had scarred himself.
